Maryland High School Basketball - Friends bested by Gerstell Academy
February 5, 2025: Baltimore, MD 21210 Gerstell Academy (Finksburg, MD) supporters left the game happy Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad run past the host Friends Quakers (Baltimore, MD), 48-28 in a league match.
With the victory, Gerstell Academy advances its record to 13-4 on the year. The host Concordia Prep (Towson, MD) to face the Saints in a MIAA B - Red match on Saturday, February 8. The Saints enter the match with a record of 9-11. Concordia Prep lost 49-46 in their recent league match against St. Paul's (Brooklandville, MD)
The Quakers now own a 4-17 record. They put it on the line next when they host Chapelgate Christian Academy for a MIAA B - Red match on Friday, February 7. Friends will face a Yellowjackets squad coming off a 48-47 league loss to St. John's Catholic Prep (Buckeystown, MD). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 8-17.
