In Wednesday's league test, the Martin County Gators (Williamston, NC) basketball squad got by the visiting Washington County Panthers (Plymouth, NC), by a score of 53-52.

Next, the Gators encounter the North East Carolina Prep Husky (Tarboro, NC) in a 1A/2A Four Rivers test, on Friday, February 7. Martin County will attempt to improve on its 13-4 season record. The Husky come into the test with a 12-9 record after their 72-49 league loss to Bertie (Windsor, NC).
