California High School Basketball - Carmel nudges Rancho San Juan
February 5, 2025: Salinas, CA The crowd at Wednesday's league challenge between the Carmel Padres (Carmel, CA) and the host Rancho San Juan Trailblazers (Salinas, CA), observed Carmel's basketball team edge Rancho San Juan by a score of 35-29.
The Padres (6-12) will now prepare for their challenge against North Monterey County (Castroville, CA). The Condors come into the PCAL - Mission challenge with a 17-5 record. In their last challenge, North Monterey County edged Monte Vista Christian (Watsonville, CA), 45-23, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Trailblazers encounter the Stevenson Pirates (Pebble Beach, CA) in a PCAL - Mission challenge, on Friday, February 7. Rancho San Juan will attempt to improve on its 8-11 season record. The Pirates come into the challenge with a 16-4 record after their 45-37 league loss to Pacific Grove (Pacific Grove, CA).
