Louisiana High School Basketball - St. Martinville thwarts Franklin
February 5, 2025: St. Martinville, LA 70582 The crowd at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the St. Martinville Tigers (St. Martinville, LA) and the visiting Franklin Hornets (Franklin, LA), observed St. Martinville's basketball team knock off Franklin by a score of 60-44.
The Tigers (14-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Erath (Erath, LA). The Bobcats come into the 3A District 5 challenge with a 7-14 record. In their last challenge, Erath was knocked off by Abbeville (Abbeville, LA), 55-32, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Hornets encounter the Catholic - N.I. Panthers (New Iberia, LA) in a 2A District 7 challenge, on Friday, February 7. Franklin will attempt to improve on its 8-9 season record. The Panthers come into the challenge with a 8-9 record after their 34-15 league win over Houma Christian (Houma, LA).
