In Thursday's league match, the visiting Dalton Catamounts basketball squad scored a decisive 70-23 victory over the Hiram Hornets.

With the victory, Dalton upgrades its record to 20-3 on the year. The Catamounts host Cherokee (Canton, GA) to face the Warriors in a non-league match on Friday, February 6. The Warriors enter the match with a record of 14-9. Cherokee won 58-41 in their recent league match against North Cobb (Kennesaw, GA)

The Hornets now sport a 8-13 record. They play next when they travel to Cass for a AAAA Region 7 game on Tuesday, February 10. Hiram will face a Colonels squad coming off a 54-41 league win over Allatoona (Acworth, GA). The Colonels record now stands at 10-12.
