The Northwest Catholic Lions basketball team scored 56 points and held the host Avon Falcons to 46 in the Lions league triumph on Tuesday.

The Lions now sport a 12-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Glastonbury for a non-league contest on Friday, February 9. Northwest Catholic will meet a Guardians team coming off a 60-57 non-league loss to Conard (West Hartford, CT). The Guardians record now stands at 10-5.

The Falcons (4-10) will now prepare for their contest against Conard (West Hartford, CT). The Red Wolves enter the Central Connecticut - West Colonial contest with a 10-4 record. In their last contest, Conard ran past Glastonbury (Glastonbury, CT), 60-57, in a non-league contest.
