The Brewer Bears basketball team scored 70 points and held the visiting Azle Hornets to 36 in the Bears league victory on Tuesday.

With the victory, Brewer upgrades its record to 26-5 on the campaign. The Bears host Granbury (Granbury, TX) to play the Pirates in a 5A Region I District 5 bout on Friday, February 9. The Pirates come into the bout with a record of 17-9. Granbury lost 46-44 in their recent league bout against Aledo (Aledo, TX)

Next up, the Hornets play the Granbury Pirates (Granbury, TX) in a 5A Region I District 5 bout, on Tuesday, February 13. Azle will attempt to upgrade on its 4-24 season record. The Pirates come into the bout with a 17-10 record after their 44-35 league loss to Brewer (Fort Worth, TX).
