February 6, 2024: Gilbert, IA 50105 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Gilbert Tigers (Gilbert, IA) and the visiting Boone Toreadors (Boone, IA), saw Gilbert's basketball squad wallop Boone by a count of 76-39.
With the victory, Gilbert upgrades its record to 9-10 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Carlisle (Carlisle, IA) to encounter the Wildcats in a Raccoon River test on Friday, February 9. The Wildcats go into the test with a record of 4-15. Carlisle lost 68-51 in their recent league test against Carroll (Carroll, IA)
The Toreadors now own a 3-14 record. They play next when they host North Polk for a Raccoon River test on Friday, February 9. Boone will encounter a Comets squad coming off a 55-45 league win over Bondurant-Farrar (Bondurant, IA). The Comets record now stands at 10-11.
