February 6, 2024: Cloudcroft, NM 88317 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Cloudcroft Bears (Cloudcroft, NM) and the visiting Capitan Tigers (Capitan, NM), saw Cloudcroft's basketball squad overcome Capitan by a tally of 49-39.
With the victory, Cloudcroft improves its record to 6-11 on the campaign. The Bears travel to Mescalero Apache (Mescalero, NM) to confront the Chiefs in a 2A District 3 challenge on Saturday, February 10. The Chiefs come into the challenge with a record of 9-11. Mescalero Apache lost 58-40 in their recent league challenge against Tularosa (Tularosa, NM)
Next up, the Tigers confront the Lordsburg Mavericks (Lordsburg, NM) in a 2A District 3 challenge, on Saturday, February 10. Capitan will attempt to improve on its 7-14 season record. The Mavericks come into the challenge with a 5-14 record after their 65-30 league loss to Tularosa (Tularosa, NM).
