Weed Cougars (Weed, CA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Etna Lions (Etna, CA), 67-37 in a league bout.

With the win, Weed upgrades its record to 19-5 on the season. The Cougars travel to Mt. Shasta (Mt. Shasta, CA) to play the Bears in a Shasta Cascade bout on Friday, February 9. The Bears go into the bout with a record of 20-7. Mt. Shasta won 65-36 in their recent league bout against Modoc (Alturas, CA)

Next up, the Lions play the Trinity Wolves (Weaverville, CA) in a Shasta Cascade bout, on Friday, February 9. Etna will attempt to upgrade on its 7-17 season record. The Wolves go into the bout with a 6-19 record after their 71-51 league loss to Fall River (McArthur, CA).
