Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Franklin Regional winner over Gateway
February 6, 2024: Monroeville, PA 15146 In Tuesday's league outing, the Franklin Regional Panthers (Murrysville, PA) basketball squad felled the host Gateway Gators (Monroeville, PA), by a margin of 49-41.
The Panthers (17-2) will now prepare for their outing against McKeesport (McKeesport, PA). The Tigers go into the WPIAL 5A 3 outing with a 5-12 record. In their last outing, McKeesport was beaten by Kiski Area (Vandergrift, PA), 62-41, in a league outing.
The Gators now own a 14-6 record. They play next when they travel to Greater Latrobe for a WPIAL 5A 3 outing on Friday, February 9. Gateway will clash with a Wildcats squad coming off a 71-61 league loss to Penn-Trafford (Harrison City, PA). The Wildcats record now stands at 7-12.
