Illinois High School Basketball - Marquette tops Serena
February 6, 2024: Ottawa, IL 61350 Marquette Crusaders (Ottawa, IL) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Serena Huskers (Serena, IL), 75-66 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Marquette upgrades its record to 19-7 on the campaign. The Crusaders host Dwight (Dwight, IL) to play the Trojans in a Tri-County bout on Friday, February 9. The Trojans come into the bout with a record of 7-19. Dwight lost 66-45 in their recent non-league bout against Wilmington (Wilmington, IL)
Next up, the Huskers play the Earlville Red Raiders (Earlville, IL) in a Little Ten bout, on Friday, February 9. Serena will attempt to upgrade on its 25-2 season record. The Red Raiders come into the bout with a 24-2 record after their 62-32 league win over DePue (DePue, IL).
