Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Mohawk Area overwhelms New Brighton
February 6, 2024: New Brighton, PA 15066 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Mohawk Area Warriors (Bessemer, PA) and the host New Brighton Lions (New Brighton, PA), saw Mohawk Area's basketball squad wallop New Brighton by a tally of 68-26.
With the victory, Mohawk Area improves its record to 15-6 on the campaign. The Warriors host Neshannock (New Castle, PA) to confront the Lancers in a WPIAL 3A 1 challenge on Friday, February 9. The Lancers come into the challenge with a record of 16-3. Neshannock won 80-22 in their recent league challenge against New Brighton (New Brighton, PA)
Next up, the Lions confront the Freedom Area Bulldogs (Freedom, PA) in a WPIAL 3A 1 challenge, on Friday, February 9. New Brighton will attempt to improve on its 3-16 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 1-19 record after their 42-39 league loss to Riverside (Ellwood City, PA).
