Idaho High School Basketball - Priest River can't hold off St. Maries
February 6, 2024: St. Maries, ID 83861 The St. Maries Lumberjacks basketball team scored 67 points and held the visiting Priest River Spartans to 60 in the Lumberjacks league triumph on Tuesday.
The Lumberjacks now sport a 10-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Orofino for a 2A Central Idaho contest on Friday, February 9. St. Maries will battle a Maniacs team coming off a 49-42 non-league loss to Logos (Moscow, ID). The Maniacs record now stands at 6-10.
The Spartans (4-11) will now prepare for their contest against Coeur du Christ Academy (Coeur d'Alene, ID). The Saints enter the non-league contest with a 13-4 record. In their last contest, Coeur du Christ Academy nudged Genesis Prep Academy (Post Falls, ID), 81-65, in a non-league contest.
