Virginia High School Basketball - The Carmel School tops Rise Academy
February 6, 2024: Ruther Glen, VA 22546 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the The Carmel School Wildcats (Ruther Glen, VA) and the visiting Rise Academy Guardians (Richmond, VA), saw The Carmel School's basketball squad knock off Rise Academy by a count of 83-68.
With the victory, The Carmel School upgrades its record to 15-12 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Benedictine (Richmond, VA) to play the Cadets in a non-league challenge on Friday, February 9. The Cadets come into the challenge with a record of 15-6. Benedictine won 89-49 in their recent non-league challenge against Woodberry Forest (Woodberry Forest, VA)
Next up, the Guardians play the Life Christian Academy Eagles (Chester, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, February 8. Rise Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 10-10 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 4-13 record after their 82-53 league loss to Evergreen Christian (Leesburg, VA).
