In Tuesday's league match, the visiting Asheboro Blue Comets basketball team scored a good 50-42 triumph over the Ledford Panthers.

In their next game, the Blue Comets meet the Montgomery Central Timberwolves (Troy, NC) in a 3A Mid-Piedmont match, on Friday, February 9. Asheboro will attempt to move on its 4-16 season record. The Timberwolves enter the match with a 14-3 record after their 64-26 league loss to Oak Grove (Winston-Salem, NC).
