North Woods grizzlies (Cook, MN) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Cherry Tigers (Iron, MN), 62-59 in a league bout.

With the win, North Woods upgrades its record to 13-8 on the season. The grizzlies host Fond du Lac Ojibwe Ogichida (Cloquet, MN) to play the Ogichida in a A Section 7 bout on Thursday, February 8. The Ogichida go into the bout with a record of 0-6.

Next up, the Tigers play the Greenway Raiders (Coleraine, MN) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, February 8. Cherry will attempt to upgrade on its 9-12 season record. The Raiders go into the bout with a 11-10 record after their 62-33 non-league loss to Proctor (Proctor, MN).
