The Christiansburg Blue Demons basketball team scored 53 points and held the visiting Galax Maroon Tide to 36 in the Blue Demons non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Blue Demons now sport a 11-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Blacksburg for a River Ridge contest on Wednesday, February 7. Christiansburg will meet a Bruins team coming off a 62-10 non-league win over Glenvar (Salem, VA). The Bruins record now stands at 11-11.

The Maroon Tide (12-8) will now prepare for their contest against Giles (Pearisburg, VA). The Spartans enter the Mountain Empire contest with a 4-14 record. In their last contest, Giles was outscored by Bland County (Rocky Gap, VA), 54-33, in a league contest.
