New Jersey High School Basketball - Montgomery nips North Hunterdon
February 6, 2024: Annandale, NJ 08801 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Montgomery Cougars (Skillman, NJ) and the host North Hunterdon Lions (Annandale, NJ), saw Montgomery's basketball squad hold off North Hunterdon by a tally of 43-37.
With the victory, Montgomery improves its record to 10-11 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Bernards (Bernardsville, NJ) to play the Mountaineers in a non-league challenge on Thursday, February 8. The Mountaineers come into the challenge with a record of 11-12. Bernards lost 57-33 in their recent non-league challenge against The Pingry School (Martinsville, NJ)
Next up, the Lions play the Somerville Pioneers (Somerville, NJ) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, February 8. North Hunterdon will attempt to improve on its 9-12 season record. The Pioneers come into the challenge with a 19-3 record after their 68-36 non-league loss to Westfield (Westfield, NJ).
