Rankin Red Devils (Rankin, TX) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Sanderson Eagles (Sanderson, TX), 74-27 in a league bout.

With the victory, Rankin upgrades its record to 12-11 on the campaign.

Next up, the Eagles play the Iraan Braves (Iraan, TX) in a 1A Region II District 10 bout, on Friday, February 9. Sanderson will attempt to upgrade on its 11-17 season record. The Braves come into the bout with a 7-20 record after their 50-10 league win over Comstock (Comstock, TX).
