Colorado High School Basketball - Sterling nips Weld Central

Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Sterling Tigers (Sterling, CO) and the host Weld Central Rebels (Keenesburg, CO), saw Sterling's basketball squad hold off Weld Central by a count of 28-25.

With the victory, Sterling upgrades its record to 9-11 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Resurrection Christian (Loveland, CO) to play the Cougars in a 4A Patriot challenge on Thursday, February 8. The Cougars come into the challenge with a record of 15-3. Resurrection Christian won 62-18 in their recent non-league challenge against Platte Valley (Kersey, CO)

Next up, the Rebels play the Eaton Reds (Eaton, CO) in a 4A Patriot challenge, on Thursday, February 8. Weld Central will attempt to upgrade on its 5-14 season record. The Reds come into the challenge with a 12-7 record after their 60-39 league win over Valley (Gilcrest, CO).
