The Anson Bearcats basketball team (Wadesboro, NC), was overwhelmed 63-27 in Tuesday's non-league battle with the host Monroe Redhawks (Monroe, NC)

The Redhawks now possess a 13-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Sun Valley for a non-league battle on Wednesday, February 7. Monroe will confront a Spartans team coming off a 54-40 non-league win over Weddington (Matthews, NC). The Spartans record now stands at 10-3.
