The Buccaneers now possess a 13-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to New Hanover for a non-league battle on Thursday, February 8. Laney will confront a Wildcats team coming off a 45-24 non-league win over North Brunswick (Leland, NC). The Wildcats record now stands at 14-0.
The Cougars (3-14) will now prepare for their battle against Topsail (Hampstead, NC). The Pirates come into the non-league battle with a 6-12 record. In their last battle, Topsail was overwhelmed by Hoggard (Wilmington, NC), 55-42, in a league battle.
