Thoreau Hawks (Thoreau, NM) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Newcomb Skyhawks (Newcomb, NM), 69-30 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Thoreau upgrades its record to 5-3 on the season. The Hawks travel to Navajo Prep (Farmington, NM) to play the Eagles in a non-league bout on Thursday, February 8. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 5-4.

Next up, the Skyhawks play the Wingate Bears (Fort Wingate, NM) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, February 10. Newcomb will attempt to upgrade on its 1-14 season record.
