February 6, 2025: Buras, LA 70041 South Plaquemines Hurricanes (Buras, LA) supporters left the game satisfied Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the visiting Sarah T. Reed Olympians (New Orleans, LA), 39-30 in a non-league match.
With the victory, South Plaquemines advances its record to 8-11 on the year. The Hurricanes host Newman (New Orleans, LA) to face the Greenies in a non-league match on Friday, February 7. The Greenies enter the match with a record of 13-13. Newman won 55-25 in their recent non-league match against St. Mary's Academy (New Orleans, LA)
The Olympians now own a 13-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to South Plaquemines for a non-league match on Monday, February 10.
