Iowa High School Basketball - New London can't hold off Alburnett
February 7, 2022: Alburnett, IA 52202 The Alburnett Pirates basketball team scored 64 points and restricted the visiting New London Tigers to 62 in the Pirates non-league victory on Monday.
The Pirates now sport a 15-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to North Linn for a Tri-Rivers contest on Tuesday, February 8. Alburnett will battle a Lynx team coming off a 89-31 league win over Central City (Central City, IA). The Lynx record now stands at 19-2.
The Tigers (13-2) will now prepare for their contest against Holy Trinity Catholic (Fort Madison, IA). The Crusaders come into the SEI - South contest with a 5-14 record. In their last contest, Holy Trinity Catholic edged Notre Dame (Burlington, IA), 54-51, in a league contest.
