Tennessee High School Basketball - Maryville holds off Anderson County
February 7, 2022: Clinton, TN 37716 Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the Maryville Red Rebels (Maryville, TN) and the host Anderson County Mavericks (Clinton, TN), saw Maryville's basketball squad hold off Anderson County by a tally of 50-46.
With the victory, Maryville improves its record to 10-12 on the campaign. The Red Rebels travel to Hardin Valley Academy (Knoxville, TN) to confront the Hawks in a 4A District 4 challenge on Tuesday, February 8. The Hawks come into the challenge with a record of 10-7. Hardin Valley Academy lost 72-55 in their recent non-league challenge against Bearden (Knoxville, TN)
Next up, the Mavericks confront the Northview Academy Cougars (Kodak, TN) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, February 11. Anderson County will attempt to improve on its 14-12 season record. The Cougars come into the challenge with a 14-10 record after their 57-53 non-league loss to Halls (Knoxville, TN).
