The Blacksburg Bruins routed the visiting Salem Spartans basketball team by a final score of 55-33 in Monday's league game.

In their next game, the Bruins face the Christiansburg Blue Demons (Christiansburg, VA) in a River Ridge game, on Tuesday, February 8. Blacksburg will attempt to move on its 13-5 season record. The Blue Demons enter the game with a 9-13 record after their 54-50 league win over Hidden Valley (Roanoke, VA).

With the defeat, Salem moves to 7-12 on the year. The Spartans host Pulaski County (Dublin, VA) to face the Cougars in a River Ridge game on Tuesday, February 8. The Cougars enter the game with a record of 10-9. Pulaski County lost 81-60 in their recent league game against Cave Spring (Roanoke, VA)
