The West Carter Comets basketball team (Olive Hill, KY), dropped 79-62 in Monday's non-league battle with the host Boyd County Lions (Ashland, KY)

The Lions now possess a 16-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Elliott County for a non-league battle on Thursday, February 10. Boyd County will battle a Lions team coming off a 64-54 non-league win over Russell (Russell, KY). The Lions record now stands at 14-6.

The Comets (10-11) will now prepare for their battle against Morgan County (West Liberty, KY). The Cougars come into the District 62 battle with a 2-17 record. In their last battle, Morgan County dropped by Prestonsburg (Prestonsburg, KY), 60-57, in a non-league battle.
