Georgia High School Basketball - Calhoun County tops Quitman County
February 7, 2022: Georgetown, GA 39854 Fans at Monday's league challenge between the Calhoun County Cougars (Edison, GA) and the host Quitman County Hornets (Georgetown, GA), saw Calhoun County's basketball squad knock off Quitman County by a count of 61-46.
With the victory, Calhoun County upgrades its record to 19-0 on the campaign. The Cougars host Miller County (Colquitt, GA) to play the Pirates in a A Public Region 1 challenge on Friday, February 11. The Pirates come into the challenge with a record of 7-14. Miller County won 65-40 in their recent league challenge against Pelham (Pelham, GA)
Next up, the Hornets play the Randolph-Clay Red Devils (Cuthbert, GA) in a A Public Region 1 challenge, on Tuesday, February 8. Quitman County will attempt to upgrade on its 14-10 season record. The Red Devils come into the challenge with a 4-11 record after their 44-39 league loss to Mitchell County (Camilla, GA).
