Augusta Prep Day Cavaliers (Augusta, GA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Briarwood Academy Buccaneers (Warrenton, GA), 61-40 in a league bout.

With the win, Augusta Prep Day upgrades its record to 8-13 on the season. The Cavaliers travel to Thomas Jefferson Academy (Louisville, GA) to play the Jaguars in a non-league bout on Thursday, February 9. The Jaguars go into the bout with a record of 10-8. Thomas Jefferson Academy won 73-62 in their recent non-league bout against Edmund Burke Academy (Waynesboro, GA)

Next up, the Buccaneers play the Edmund Burke Academy Spartans (Waynesboro, GA) in a GIAA AA Region 4 bout, on Friday, February 10. Briarwood Academy will attempt to move on its 11-12 season record.
