Texas High School Basketball - Schulenburg holds off Flatonia
February 7, 2023: Schulenburg, TX 78956 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Schulenburg Shorthorns (Schulenburg, TX) and the visiting Flatonia Bulldogs (Flatonia, TX), saw Schulenburg's basketball squad hold off Flatonia by a tally of 69-67.
With the victory, Schulenburg improves its record to 17-6 on the campaign. The Shorthorns host Port Aransas (Port Aransas, TX) to confront the Marlins in a non-league challenge on Friday, February 10. The Marlins come into the challenge with a record of 23-9. Port Aransas won 87-42 in their recent league challenge against Woodsboro (Woodsboro, TX)
Next up, the Bulldogs confront the Louise Hornets (Louise, TX) in a 2A Region IV District 28 challenge, on Friday, February 10. Flatonia will attempt to improve on its 27-4 season record. The Hornets come into the challenge with a 5-21 record after their 70-41 league loss to Shiner (Shiner, TX).
