February 7, 2023: Dandridge, TN 37725 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Jefferson County Patriots (Dandridge, TN) and the visiting South-Doyle Cherokees (Knoxville, TN), saw Jefferson County's basketball squad hold off South-Doyle by a count of 61-60.
With the victory, Jefferson County upgrades its record to 12-13 on the campaign. The Patriots travel to Pigeon Forge (Pigeon Forge, TN) to play the Tigers in a non-league challenge on Thursday, February 9. The Tigers come into the challenge with a record of 7-13. Pigeon Forge lost 69-66 in their recent non-league challenge against Seymour (Seymour, TN)
Next up, the Cherokees play the Powell Panthers (Powell, TN) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, February 9. South-Doyle will attempt to upgrade on its 11-13 season record. The Panthers come into the challenge with a 6-18 record after their 72-71 non-league loss to Anderson County (Clinton, TN).
