New York High School Basketball - Newark crushes Whitman
February 7, 2023: Newark, NY 14513 Newark Reds (Newark, NY) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Whitman Wildcats (Rushville, NY), 67-41 in a league bout.
With the win, Newark upgrades its record to 13-3 on the season. The Reds host Waterloo (Waterloo, NY) to play the Indians in a Section 5 Finger Lakes - East bout on Thursday, February 9. The Indians go into the bout with a record of 5-3.
Next up, the Wildcats play the Palmyra-Macedon Red Raiders (Palmyra, NY) in a Section 5 Finger Lakes - East bout, on Tuesday, February 14. Whitman will attempt to upgrade on its 2-6 season record.
