February 7, 2023: Elmwood, IL 61529 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Elmwood Trojans (Elmwood, IL) and the visiting Peoria Heights Patriots (Peoria Heights, IL), saw Elmwood's basketball squad hold off Peoria Heights by a tally of 33-30.
With the victory, Elmwood improves its record to 25-5 on the campaign. The Trojans travel to Knoxville (Knoxville, IL) to confront the Blue Bullets in a non-league challenge on Thursday, February 9. The Blue Bullets come into the challenge with a record of 17-11. Knoxville won 61-52 in their recent league challenge against Abingdon/Avon (Abingdon, IL)
Next up, the Patriots confront the Henry-Senachwine Mallards (Henry, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, February 9. Peoria Heights will attempt to improve on its 14-15 season record. The Mallards come into the challenge with a 5-23 record after their 39-22 non-league win over Peoria Christian (Peoria, IL).
