New Jersey High School Basketball - New Providence overwhelms Sparta
February 7, 2023: New Providence, NJ 07924 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the New Providence Pioneers (New Providence, NJ) and the visiting Sparta Spartans (Sparta, NJ), saw New Providence's basketball squad wallop Sparta by a tally of 52-23.
With the victory, New Providence improves its record to 16-4 on the campaign. The Pioneers travel to Union (Union, NJ) to confront the Farmers in a Union County - Valley challenge on Wednesday, February 8. The Farmers come into the challenge with a record of 7-7. Union won 39-32 in their recent league challenge against Linden (Linden, NJ)
Next up, the Spartans confront the Pope John XXIII (Sparta, NJ) in a Northwest Jersey - National challenge, on Thursday, February 9. Sparta will attempt to improve on its 13-7 season record. The come into the challenge with a 18-5 record after their 67-61 non-league loss to Morristown (Morristown, NJ).
