Charles City Panthers (Charles City, VA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host West Point Pointers (West Point, VA), 30-18 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Charles City upgrades its record to 11-4 on the campaign.

Next up, the Pointers play the Maggie Walker (Richmond, VA) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, February 8. West Point will attempt to upgrade on its 1-7 season record. The come into the bout with a 5-7 record after their 46-25 non-league loss to Godwin (Richmond, VA).
