Mississippi High School Basketball - Canton can't hold off Cleveland Central
February 7, 2024: Canton, MS 39046 The Cleveland Central Wolves basketball team scored 46 points and restricted the host Canton Tigers to 39 in the Wolves non-league victory on Wednesday.
The Wolves now sport a 22-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Yazoo City for a non-league contest on Friday, February 9. Cleveland Central will battle a Indians team coming off a 66-31 non-league win over Gentry (Indianola, MS). The Indians record now stands at 25-4.
The Tigers (22-4) will now prepare for their contest against Clarksdale (Clarksdale, MS). The Wildcats come into the non-league contest with a 10-18 record. In their last contest, Clarksdale was nudged by New Hope (Columbus, MS), 52-47, in a non-league contest.
