Virginia High School Basketball - Middlesboro fells Thomas Walker
February 7, 2024: Ewing, VA 24248 Middlesboro Yellowjackets (Middlesboro, KY) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Thomas Walker Pioneers (Ewing, VA), 60-48 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Middlesboro upgrades its record to 8-13 on the season. The Yellowjackets host Bell County (Pineville, KY) to clash with the Bobcats in a District 52 bout on Friday, February 9. The Bobcats go into the bout with a record of 18-4. Bell County won 77-50 in their recent league bout against Harlan (Harlan, KY)
Next up, the Pioneers clash with the Rye Cove Eagles (Clinchport, VA) in a Cumberland bout, on Friday, February 9. Thomas Walker will attempt to upgrade on its 9-13 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 6-11 record after their 69-51 league win over Castlewood (Castlewood, VA).
