The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Steele Knights (Cibolo, TX) and the visiting Canyon Cougars (New Braunfels, TX), observed Steele's basketball team knock off Canyon by a score of 66-50.

The Knights (27-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Johnson (Buda, TX). The Jaguars come into the 6A Region IV District 29 challenge with a 9-21 record. In their last challenge, Johnson was knocked off by Judson (Converse, TX), 81-49, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Cougars encounter the San Marcos Rattlers (San Marcos, TX) in a 6A Region IV District 29 challenge, on Tuesday, February 11. Canyon will attempt to improve on its 12-22 season record. The Rattlers come into the challenge with a 17-17 record after their 74-67 league win over Steele (Cibolo, TX).
