The Pineywoods Community Academy Timberwolves (Lufkin, TX) basketball edged the visiting Central Heights Blue Devils (Nacogdoches, TX), 49-45 in Friday's league bout.

The Timberwolves now possess a 17-15 record. They play next when they travel to Huntington for a 3A Region III District 21 bout on Tuesday, February 11. Pineywoods Community Academy will play a Red Devils team coming off a 68-43 league loss to Pollok Central (Pollok, TX). The Red Devils record now stands at 12-22.

With the loss, Central Heights falls to 15-17 on the campaign. The Blue devils travel to Mexia (Mexia, TX) to play the Black Cats in a non-league bout on Monday, February 10. The Black Cats go into the bout with a record of 22-10. Mexia won 69-54 in their recent league bout against Groesbeck (Groesbeck, TX)
