Michigan High School Basketball - Northwest can't hold off Columbia Central
February 7, 2025: Jackson, MI 49201 Columbia Central Golden Eagles (Brooklyn, MI) boosters left the game satisfied Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the host Northwest Mounties (Jackson, MI), 50-43 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Columbia Central upgrades its record to 16-3 on the year. The Golden Eagles host Hanover-Horton (Horton, MI) to face the Comets in a Cascades match on Tuesday, February 11. The Comets enter the match with a record of 13-7. Hanover-Horton won 52-50 in their recent league match against Jonesville (Jonesville, MI)
The Mounties now sport a 3-13 record. They put it on the line next when they host Marshall for a Interstate Eight match on Monday, February 10. Northwest will face a Redhawks squad coming off a 54-32 league win over Hastings (Hastings, MI). The Redhawks record now stands at 11-6.
