February 7, 2025: Coalmont, TN 37313 In Friday's league test, the Grundy County Yellowjackets (Coalmont, TN) basketball squad got by the visiting Community Vikings/Viqueens (Unionville, TN), by a score of 68-65.
Next, the Yellowjackets encounter the South Pittsburg Pirates (South Pittsburg, TN) in a non-league test, on Tuesday, February 11. Grundy County will attempt to improve on its 11-4 season record. The Pirates come into the test with a 6-6 record after their 45-41 non-league win over Sequatchie County (Dunlap, TN).
The Vikings/Viqueens (4-10) will now prepare for their test against Cascade (Wartrace, TN). The Champions come into the 2A District 9 test with a 14-10 record. In their last test, Cascade held off Forrest (Chapel Hill, TN), 49-44, in a league test.
