February 7, 2025: Greenback, TN 37742 The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Midway Green Wave (Kingston, TN) and the host Greenback Cherokees (Greenback, TN), observed Midway's basketball team overwhelm Greenback by a margin of 68-35.
The Green Wave (15-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Harriman (Harriman, TN). The Blue Devils come into the 1A District 4 challenge with a 14-6 record. In their last challenge, Harriman trounced Oakdale (Oakdale, TN), 68-38, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Cherokees battle the Pigeon Forge Tigers (Pigeon Forge, TN) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, February 10. Greenback will attempt to better on its 0-18 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 12-11 record after their 85-47 league loss to Austin-East (Knoxville, TN).
