North Carolina High School Basketball - Mountain Heritage bests Madison

February 7, 2025: Burnsville, NC 28714

The Mountain Heritage Cougars basketball team scored 70 points and limited the visiting Madison Patriots to 51 in the Cougars league triumph on Friday.

The Cougars now possess a 17-2 record. They play next when they travel to Draughn for a 1A/2A Western Highlands game on Tuesday, February 11. Mountain Heritage will confront a Wildcats team coming off a 75-46 league win over NCSSM: Morganton (Morganton, NC). The Wildcats record now stands at 7-14.

With the loss, Madison falls to 12-11 on the campaign. The Patriots travel to Owen (Black Mountain, NC) to confront the Warhorses in a 1A/2A Western Highlands game on Tuesday, February 11. The Warhorses go into the game with a record of 15-5. Owen won 70-58 in their recent league game against Avery County (Newland, NC)
