Virginia High School Basketball - Grassfield overwhelms Western Branch

February 7, 2025: Chesapeake, VA 23321

The Grassfield Grizzlies basketball team scored 75 points and limited the host Western Branch Bruins to 51 in the Grizzlies league triumph on Friday.

The Grizzlies now possess a 16-3 record. They play next when they host Oscar Smith for a Southeastern game on Monday, February 10. Grassfield will confront a Tigers team coming off a 37-21 non-league loss to Tabb (Yorktown, VA). The Tigers record now stands at 7-11.

With the loss, Western Branch falls to 11-5 on the campaign. The Bruins host Kecoughtan (Hampton, VA) to confront the Warriors in a non-league game on Saturday, February 8. The Warriors go into the game with a record of 3-14. Kecoughtan won 59-34 in their recent league game against Phoebus (Hampton, VA)
