Virginia High School Basketball - Deep Creek overwhelms Western Branch

December 5, 2024: Chesapeake, VA 23323

The Deep Creek Hornets basketball team scored 59 points and limited the visiting Western Branch Bruins to 29 in the Hornets league triumph on Thursday.

The Hornets now possess a 1-0 record. They play next when they host Kellam for a non-league game on Tuesday, December 10. Deep Creek will confront a Knights team coming off a 58-51 non-league win over Hampton (Hampton, VA). The Knights record now stands at 3-0.

With the loss, Western Branch falls to 2-1 on the campaign. The Bruins travel to Bethel (Hampton, VA) to confront the Bruins in a non-league game on Saturday, December 7. The Bruins go into the game with a record of 0-2. Bethel lost 97-28 in their recent league game against Menchville (Newport News, VA)
