West Virginia High School Basketball - Greenbrier West triumphant over Wirt County
February 7, 2025: Charmco, WV 29598 The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Greenbrier West Cavaliers (Charmco, WV) and the visiting Wirt County Tigers (Elizabeth, WV), observed Greenbrier West's basketball team overwhelm Wirt County by a score of 75-33.
The Cavaliers (6-7) will now prepare for their challenge against James Monroe (Lindside, WV). The Mavericks come into the non-league challenge with a 15-3 record. In their last challenge, James Monroe was routed by Wyoming East (New Richmond, WV), 58-53, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Tigers encounter the Wahama White Falcons (Mason, WV) in a Little Kanawha - West challenge, on Friday, February 7. Wirt County will attempt to improve on its 6-11 season record. The White Falcons come into the challenge with a 11-5 record after their 50-35 league win over Wirt County (Elizabeth, WV).
