Virginia High School Basketball - Grundy crushes Hurley
February 7, 2025: Hurley, VA 24620 The Grundy Golden Wave (Grundy, VA) basketball crushed the host Hurley Rebels (Hurley, VA), 65-35 in Friday's league bout.
The Golden Wave now possess a 12-9 record. They play next when they host Honaker for a non-league bout on Thursday, February 13. Grundy will play a Tigers team coming off a 55-25 non-league win over Tri-Cities Christian (Blountville, TN). The Tigers record now stands at 20-1.
With the loss, Hurley falls to 7-9 on the campaign. The Rebels travel to Phelps (Phelps, KY) to play the Hornets in a non-league bout on Thursday, February 13. The Hornets go into the bout with a record of 15-7. Phelps won 59-20 in their recent non-league bout against Elliott County (Sandy Hook, KY)
