Arkansas High School Basketball - Western Yell County toppled by Scranton
February 7, 2025: Scranton, AR 72863 Scranton Rockets (Scranton, AR) boosters left the game satisfied Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the visiting Western Yell County Wolverines (Havana, AR), 50-32 in a league match.
With the victory, Scranton upgrades its record to 20-2 on the year. The Rockets travel to Wonderview (Hattieville, AR) to face the Daredevils in a 1A Region 5 match on Tuesday, February 11. The Daredevils enter the match with a record of 22-7. Wonderview won 66-32 in their recent non-league match against Timbo (Timbo, AR)
The Wolverines now sport a 11-12 record. They put it on the line next when they host Magazine for a 1A Region 4 match on Tuesday, February 11. Western Yell County will face a Rattlers squad coming off a 64-27 league win over Mulberry (Mulberry, AR). The Rattlers record now stands at 14-12.
